Ever walk into a beautiful home that you feel like you should love, but just don’t? It could be the funk, and I don’t mean James Brown. The way a house smells triggers a primal and immediate response from our brains. Good smells, good house, bad smells... you see where I’m going with this. We are so lucky to live in a place that is abundant with not only natural beauty and open space, but beautifully groomed trails on which to explore! Here’s where we’re hiking this week:
Hike, bike or walk your four-legged friends on the paved, wheelchair accessible Lafayette-Moraga Regional Trail. This 7.65-mile linear park parallels St. Mary's Road through Lafayette and Moraga. This trail was once used by mules, then steam trains, to carry redwood from Oakland to Sacramento. The trail makes connections to a variety of schools (including picturesque St. Mary's College), regional trails, local parks (Moraga Commons- bocce, anyone?), and downtown Moraga. Get outside and take a hike! Live! from the Library presents the Musica Vera Duo Enjoy an evening of classical, folk and original compositions performed by the Musica Vera Duo, which features Baroque violist Mark Bailey and classical guitarist Kevin Sherwin.
